National recognition from your colleagues within the professional film and video production industry is especially encouraging. SPI has been singled out twice since 2002 by Markee Magazine as a "producer of note" within the six state Rocky Mountain region. In the September 2002 issue, we were one of only 18 companies to be featured while in the September 2004 publication; Spectrum was the lone Wyoming filmmaker represented in an issue that focused upon producers "on-the-move."
Spectrum Productions is very proud of the quality and expertise that goes into our work and thankful to those around the region and across the country whom we call our clients. It's extremely rare for us to photographically document our activities whilst on the set of a production, but from time-to-time certain projects capture our imagination and warrant the effort. This page exists to give visitors to our web site a taste of what goes on Behind The Scenes.

The following photographs were taken on the set of one such national security production. This scenario-based training and marketing film was scripted and produced by Spectrum with the cooperation and assistance of the elite JeffCo (Denver) SWAT team. Special operations units throughout North America and the Middle East were the primary audience.
With regards to national defense, SPI has serviced nearly every branch of the military at one time or another. The accompanying pictures are from the set of the U.S. Army's "Greening Up" exercise involving members of the America's Army programming and development team. Considered the most realistic and technologically advanced "video game" in the world, AA is used by the military over the internet for recruiting purposes as well as in the field as an in-depth practical training simulator for the troops. This multi-day exercise was designed to expose the developers to everything from live weapons fire to convoy actions (ambush tactics) to helicopter "dust off" evacuation and radical low-level evasive flight maneuver. This event was coordinated especially for the AA team in order to assist them in creating the most realisitic software possible for each new generation of the program. Footage and interviews from this exercise have been incorporated into a national television program that documents the military's use of modern gaming technology.
